Over 25 years ago, Tom Droog started Alberta Sunflower Seeds Ltd. and began an exciting and successful journey that evolved into Spitz International Inc. It was during this time that the company began to deploy fully automated systems where product was completely processed from truck to a sealed bag. This included full conveyance, scrubbers, cookers, spicers, scales, sealers, and packaging equipment. The most used packaging equipment was a BaggerBoss™ machine, manufactured by SDS (Inc. 1999). In 2003, Tom purchased SDS and renamed it “Boss Packaging Inc.”.

 
Boss Packaging Inc. manufacturers the BaggerBoss™ in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and has installations all over North America, including Mexico. Through our extensive distribution network, we are able to provide exceptional equipment with a first-rate level of post-install service and support. 
 
The BaggerBoss™ has been deployed into many different packaging industries, including seeds, nuts, pastas, chicken, perogies, sand, vegetables, raisins, candy, flour, grains, almonds, and spices.
 
This is the most complete bagger solution in the industry for pre-made bags, either wicketed or non-wicketed. Our track record with solutions for zippered stand-up pouches is tremendous. The BaggerBoss™ has become synonymous with quality for pre-made polyethylene bags as well. Versatility into new product groups has allowed Boss Packaging Inc. to grow into a “go-to” company for pre-made bagging solutions.
 

Boss Packaging Inc. is also an authorized OEM reseller for Ishida Scales, Emplex Sealers, Bosch Sealers, Markham-Imaje date coders, and Video Jet date coders. We have designed and installed conveyance solutions and pusher systems around our BaggerBoss™ machine, and can design a custom solution on request.
