BossPac Engineering and Technology is poised for significant growth in the North American market and is adding a new position to our sales team. This role will report directly to General Manager located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but is open to permanent residents of the United States.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Manufacturer’s Agent/Sales Representative with experience selling electrical and automation products to the Oil, Natural Gas, Refining, and Chemical Industries. This individual will be responsible for lead generation, application consulting, supporting the existing network of distributors and promoting the Brand throughout the United States.
Responsibilities:
· Generate new customer accounts as well as service and maintain existing accounts. Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs.
· Demonstrate the ability to create sales relationships via in person, phone, email and video conference.
· Achieve sales goals and forecasts, as established by BossPac.
· Assist in marketing and sale of products.
· Interface with other departments, including engineering, manufacturing, production and purchasing, to oversee project development and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
· Compute installation or production costs, and prepare and submit bid specifications to existing and potential customers for review. Negotiate proposals and sales and service contracts with customers.
· Plan and organize sales strategy.
· Expedite the resolution of customer problems, issues or complaints.
· Ensure strong, effective market share of the products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services.
· Attend sales and trade meetings and read related publications to obtain current market condition information, business trends and industry developments.
· Demonstrate and explain use of installed equipment and production process.
· Arrange for installation and test-operation of machinery and recommend solutions to product-related problems.
· Evaluate sales performance results.
· Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
· Conduct all business transactions in an ethical manner.
· Accustom to long sales cycles as well as working with long term clients.
· Relentless in understanding the company's products and services.
Requirements:
® 5+ years of Industrial sales.
® Strong technical aptitude and eager to learn new technologies.
® Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
® Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
® Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
® Ability to demonstrate conducts conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.
® Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.
® Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
® Motivated individual who is able to work remotely and independently.
® Ability to travel 50%-70% of the time.
® Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (technology or business) preferred.
